Fort Wayne Journal Gazette - Apr 03 2:34 AM
HOLLYWOOD The images in Blades of Glory are provocative: Will Ferrell, as a rough-and-tumble macho, and Jon Heder, as the pastel-wearing girlie man, feign romance on the ice as a figure skating pair. They lock legs and hold hands, bump and grind and plant their faces in each others crotch. Its hilarious and unsettling: The joke, which deftly avoids gay baiting, is on straight men.

Quotation of the Day

Crimson room

Crimson Room is a Macromedia Flash game by Toshimitsu Takagi originally made for the Fasco-CSC website. Like several other games by Takagi, it involves escaping from a room or similar boundary using items hidden nearby. The game was inspired by "Chasm", "Droom" and "MOTAS". The game's success caused its rapid spread across the internet, and has inspired many other games based on the concept of "escape the room".

Story

As the unnamed protagonist, you awake after a night of heavy drinking to find yourself lying in a strange bed. Arising, you realize you are trapped in a small, spare room with crimson walls. The door is locked, and the one window does not open. With no other clues to guide you, you must gather items hidden throughout the room and somehow use them to escape.

Sequels

Toshimitsu Takagi also created Viridian Room (the sequel to Crimson Room), and a smaller puzzle for the mobile phone, Blue Chamber. A fourth room, White Chamber, was recently released to the public, but seems to be unrelated to the other rooms in the series. Toshimitsu Takagi has announced the next two titles are to be "Pink Prison" and "Tangerine Room".

I was happily ensconced in the Creative Department at Avco Embassy Pictures, which Mr. Lear went on to buy. As (bad) luck would have it, I was immediately demoted to the data print-out department in the Company's hope ...
